Directions To The Training Grounds
TIMPERLEY The training ground is situated on Ridgeway Road, Timperley WA15 7HE. From Stockport Leave the M60 at Junction M56 (signposted Airport). Leave M56 at first available exit, Junction 2 (signposted Sharston). At the end of slip road take the second exit (sign posted A560, Altrincham). You will then reach a second roundabout. Take the second exit (sign posted A560, Altrincham). At the next roundabout go straight across - you will pass under the motorway - staying on the A560. At the next roundabout take the second exit-Shaftsbury Avenue (sign posted A560 Altrincham). At the second set of lights turn left onto Thorley Lane. Then take the third left into Ridgway Road, immediately after the Church. The training ground is ½ mile on the right. From M6 Exit at Junction 19 (Knutsford), and follow signs for Stockport/Manchester. Join the M56 (signposted) and then exit M56 at Junction 3A (signposted A560). Then follow as above. Turn left at Sussex Rd which turns right and becomes Lorland Road. Turn Left at Kensington Road for 0.2 miles. Take the 2nd right onto Heathbank Rd. ROCHDALE - Castle Irwell Directions are: For Castle Irwell Student Village M6 6DB: Take the A56 Bury New Road heading towards Prestwich and Salford. Follow this road through the traffic lights at Hilton Lane/Scholes Lane (A6044) and continue on towards Higher Broughton until the traffic lights at Great Cheetham Street West. Turn right along Great Cheetham Street West (A576) and head towards the traffic lights at Lower Broughton Road. Go straight on through the traffic lights onto Cromwell Road. Castle Irwell student village is on the right hand side approx 200 yards after the traffic lights. Enter the car park via the security system which has gates which will be activated by the attendant. Man Utd (Ayrshire Rd) Littleton Road (Ayrshire Road) Training Ground, Salford M7 3TP Come off M60 (still on old maps as M62) at junction 17. Take the A56 road for Salford (Bury New Road). Follow the A56 for three miles and at the eighth set of traffic lights junction Great Cheetham Street/Bury New Road, turn right. (Landmark – Broughton Baths). Go through two sets of traffic lights and at the roundabout take the last exit (Littleton Road). Go along Littleton Road for approximately ½ mile and turn left into Ayrshire Road (seventh turning on left hand side). Entrance to training ground is at the end of Ayrshire Road.
